Pat Riley’s memories of Jimmy Butler are still fond. Despite their reportedly contentious split, which played out across multiple scathing reports and an eventual trade that sent the six-time All-Star to Golden State in February, ending a magical six seasons in Miami, Riley didn’t torch the once fiery Heat star.

Butler played three games after that suspension ended before receiving a two-game ban after missing the Heat's team flight for a road game in Milwaukee on Jan. 23. They followed that up by suspending him for a minimum of five games for walking out of a team practice.
