The Lions are set for joint practices ahead of two of this summer's preseason games. Head coach Dan Campbell said on Friday that the team plans to have two days of joint practices with the Dolphins before a home game on August 16.

Detroit will open its preseason schedule on July 31 with the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio, against the Los Angeles Chargers. From there, the Lions will travel to face the Atlanta Falcons on Aug. 8, host the Dolphins at Ford Field on Aug. 16, and close the preseason on Aug. 23 on the road against the Houston Texans.

The Miami Dolphins recently announced they'd be having joint practices with all three of their preseason opponents, including the Detroit Lions. The Dolphins, who will play the Lions in an exhibition matchup Aug. 16, are also scheduled to play at the Chicago Bears on Aug. 10 and versus the Jacksonville Jaguars on Aug. 23.
