Best Buy began selling the Switch 2 at its retail locations on June 5. It previously said it wouldn't sell the handheld at its online store during launch week, but it made additional consoles available on June 11 around 12PM ET. That restock lasted for the better part of an hour and required in-store pickup, but the device is now sold out again.

Nintendo has said it expects to sell 15 million Switch 2 consoles for the fiscal year through March 2026. The 3.5 million sold in the first four days includes the Nintendo Switch 2’s Mario Kart World Bundle, as well as the Switch 2’s Japanese-language and multi-language systems sold in Japan.

At the time of writing, Nintendo has confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2 has sold more than 3.5 million units. This impressive figure was clocked up in only four days, making it the fastest-selling Nintendo console ever.
