Nvidia on Wednesday became the world’s most valuable company, with its market capitalization briefly touching $4 trillion intraday.
Nvidia achieved a $1 trillion market value for the first time in June 2023 and tripled it in about a year, faster than Apple and Microsoft, the only other U.S. firms with market values above $3 trillion. Microsoft is the second most valuable U.S. company, with a market capitalization of $3.73 trillion. Its shares dipped 0.4% on Thursday.
Nvidia became the world's first $4 trillion company with a surge in share price in the morning. The shares have since eased off for a $3.97 trillion valuation.
What is eye-catching is that Nvidia stock soared to new heights despite the global market being jittery due to US President Donald Trumps tariff saga, which is expected to create trade uncertainties across the world.
The state’s work with the technology company aims to bring artificial intelligence education and real-world innovation to classrooms, communities and industry. It's intended to bring in jobs as well.
