The Mighty Nein and The Legend of Vox Machina are both set in the same fantasy world of Exandria but are separated by continents and time. The former, to premiere on Amazon's Prime Video this Nov. 19, is set about 20 years after the latter.

Prime Video is expanding its fantasy universe with a new chapter in The Legend of Vox Machina. The upcoming spinoff series, titled The Mighty Nein, has just revealed its celebrity-stacked cast. Among the standout names are a Star Wars legend and a well-known Taylor Sheridan alum, signaling that Amazon is investing heavily in the show’s success.

What may be somewhat of a downer for fans of Vox Machina to hear is that it will also be the final season, concluding the adventures of this ragtag group that has captured the hearts of viewers even before it was first adapted into an animated TV show in 2022.

Unfortunately, it seems as though one of the biggest animated series on the platform has announced its grand finale. The Legend of Vox Machina recently brought its third animated season to a close, but it appears as though the end is nigh as this year’s San Diego Comic-Con panel has confirmed that the fifth season will also be the show’s grand finale.
