Bijan Robinson hits milestone last reached by Thurman Thomas in 1991
Through the first five games of 1991, Thomas averaged 101 yards rushing per game with another 62 yards as a receiver. Robinson is just shy of Thomas' average on the ground with 97 rushing yards per gam, but Bijan has a minor edge as a pass catcher with 68 yards per game.
Just a month prior, Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris proclaimed his running back to be the NFL's best player. As Bijan Robinson sped past Buffalo Bills defenders on Monday night, it was hard not to nod in agreement with Morris’ proclamation.
The Bills’ defense allowed both a 150-yard rusher and a 150-yard receiver for the first time in franchise history.
Bijan Robinson ripped through the Buffalo Bills’ defense for an 81-yard touchdown, the longest rush of his career and the longest in the NFL this season.
On the first play from scrimmage Monday night, Bijan Robinson fumbled after a 3-yard gain. Christian Benford recovered for the Bills at the Atlanta 46. The turnover, though, was negated by an offsides penalty on Greg Rousseau. Five plays later, the Falcons were in the end zone and holding an early 7-0 lead.

LOOK: Tyler Allgeier TD run gives Falcons first-quarter lead over Bills
The Falcons thought they got off to a bad start when Bijan Robinson fumbled on the first play of the game. However, an offsides penalty by the Bills negated the fumble and kept the offensive drive alive. Michael Penix Jr. went 3-for-3 and Tyler Allgeier finished things off with a 21-yard touchdown run to give Atlanta a 7-0 lead.
