Cleveland Browns wide receiver David Bell is retiring from the NFL due to what he described as "an off-field injury that was beyond my control" in a Tuesday statement shared to social media.

BEREA, Ohio (WKBN) – The Cleveland Browns signed cornerback Tre Avery to the active roster from the practice squad on Tuesday. In addition, the team signed linebacker Eugene Asante and defensive tackle Simeon Barrow Jr. to the practice squad and released tackle Joshua Miles. The club also placed wide receiver David Bell on reserve/retired list.
