The Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Saturday apprehended Aakash Kailash Kannojia (31), a suspect in the stabbing attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, at Chhattisgarh's Durg railway station. The arrest took place following a tip-off from the Mumbai Police.

Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by the intruder multiple times during the incident early Thursday morning inside his 12th-floor apartment at the 'Satguru Sharan' building in the upscale Bandra West area of Mumbai.

The suspect was on board the Jnaneswari Express, which runs from Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) to Kolkata Shalimar (SHM), an official said.

Police in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh on Saturday detained a second person suspected of involvement in a knife attack in which Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was wounded. Khan, 54, was stabbed six times by an intruder during a burglary attempt at his home in Mumbai early on Thursday.
