The Macomb County Health Department issued a public health advisory after a pipe break burst with raw sewage. The pipe break happened Wednesday afternoon on Hayes Road in Washington Township, and local officials took steps to prevent the seeping of sewage toward the Middle Branch Clinton River by moving it out with trucks.

The health department said crews are working to alleviate the leak's impact. Residents are advised to conserve household water through Friday.
