After five long years, Cyberpunk 2077 is finally available for the Mac today, several months after Apple teased Mac gamers during the M4 MacBook Pro reveal in October. (Actually, Apple said in the presentation that the game is coming in the “early” part of 2025, but better late than never.)

Earlier this summer, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition made its debut on Nintendo Switch 2. Now, CD Projekt Red is bringing the game to Mac almost five years after it was released on PC and consoles.
According to a spec sheet shared on the CD Projekt Red website, the minimum specification to play the game will require an M1 chip with 16GB of RAM. The recommended specs bump that to an M3 Pro with 18GB of RAM, while the “very high fidelity” spec requires an M3 Ultra or M4 Max chip with 36GB of RAM.
CD Projekt Red will finally release Cyberpunk 2077 on the Mac, with Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition to be available for all Apple Silicon models with at least 16GB of RAM and running macOS 15.5 or later. That even includes the original M1 MacBook Pro.
When CD Projekt Red launched Cyberpunk 2077 in 2020, the game was plagued by bugs and glitches. Since then, the company has provided free updates and patches to the game to make it a fun, engaging and award-winning experience.
