The Dragon Bravo Fire is now the largest wildfire ever recorded in the Grand Canyon, burning more than 111,000 acres. The fire continues to grow to the north, but at the South Rim, crews are about 11 miles from the flames.

As of Aug. 1, 1,189 personnel are working to contain the fire, which is being fueled by mixed conifer, aspen regeneration and ponderosa pine.
