US officials in Israel to press truce forward as first phase of Israel-Hamas ceasefire wanes
DEIR AL-BALAH, Gaza Strip (AP) — Israel on Monday returned the remains of 15 Palestinians to Gaza in the latest step forward for a U.S.-brokered ceasefire, as a top White House envoy met with Israeli leaders to discuss the next stages of the fragile agreement.
Israel on Sunday received the remains of what Hamas said are three more deceased hostages held in Gaza. The remains were transferred to Israel via the Red Cross and will be taken to the country’s national forensics laboratory for identification.

Netanyahu tells parliament Israel's fight with regional foes not over
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that Israel's fight against its enemies in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip is far from over. According to his office, Netanyahu told the Israeli parliament that the two groups are rearming and have not abandoned their goal of destroying Israel.
