Mets reliever A.J. Minter has been placed on the 15-day injured list after straining his left triceps during a 2-0 win against the Nationals. New York replaced him on the roster by selecting the contract of right-hander José Ureña from Triple-A Syracuse.

As a reliever who started the season healthy, Minter might not need that much time to build up. Still, he won’t be back anytime soon.
