Nick Castellanos expected to be traded or released

The Philadelphia Phillies should be trading their outfield veteran as they welcome a new player onto the roster.
Dave Dombrowski's comments on Nick Castellanos don't reveal much, but do point to a solution for the disgruntled Phillies outfielder.
Castellanos, a two-time All-Star and a former Silver Slugger Award winner, has been with the Phillies since 2022. That is when he signed a five-year, $100 million contract with the team.
Along with those names, outfielder Nick Castellanos' future with the Phillies is also uncertain. The New York Yankees have an outfielder who is set to hit the open market once free agency opens in Trent Grisham. Recently, the Phillies were linked to being in the mix on the Grisham sweepstakes.
The Chicago Cubs ended their season with a Game 5 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers after nearly coming back from a 2-0 deficit. This offseason, the Cubs will focus heavily on trying to bring star outfielder Kyle Tucker back to Chicago. However, based on his recent comments, a return doesn’t look promising.
