Baseball America had the Tigers ranked sixth coming into the week, but they made a massive jump to the top of their rankings after their series win over Arkansas. They surpassed the Georgia Bulldogs, Texas Longhorns, Arkansas Razorbacks, North Carolina Tar Heels and the Auburn Tigers for the top spot.

Arkansas is looking to avoid its first sweep since 2023 today at LSU. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. The Razorbacks have lost twice in this series in contrasting ways. The Tigers won 5-4 in a 10-inning overnight thriller, then won 13-3 in 7 innings yesterday.
