Red Sox manager Alex Cora explained the decision to keep Marcelo Mayer in the big leagues. He also discussed where he will play with Alex Bregman back.
The Red Sox signed Alex Bregman to a three year, $120MM contract this offseason. In reality, it's a series of one year deals at $40MM per year. Alex Bregman has fit in seamlessly with the Red Sox. But the third baseman has the option to opt out of his contract after this season and test free agency.
