Nintendo has set the date for its second US store to set up shop. Following the announcement last year, Nintendo's brick and mortar location in San Francisco will open its doors on May 15. The opening is happening almost exactly two decades after Nintendo launched its first US store,

The Kyoto-headquartered company currently has four other stores, three of which are in Japan (Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo), with one other U.S. flagship store in New York City’s Rockefeller Square, which has been open since 2005. It also has merchandise for sale at Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Hollywood and Orlando.

Nintendo fans get one more option to satisfy their merch fix as the company confirms a spring grand opening for its new San Francisco store.

First announced back in May 2024, the second Nintendo Store in the US is scheduled to open on 15th May 2025. Nintendo San Francisco (sorry, Nintendo SAN FRANCISCO) will join the firm's flagship store in New York and give West Coast fans somewhere to pick up Ninty-related swag, clothes, and other merch. Plus, you know, games and Switches.

Nintendo San Francisco will hold a grand opening event on May 15, 2025. It’ll be a celebration of the fifth Nintendo Store, with in-person events for those able to secure a spot. Nintendo is also running a sweepstakes where a fan and a guest can win a four-day trip to San Francisco and a tour of the new Nintendo Store.

While Nintendo fans eagerly await the April 2 Nintendo Switch 2 broadcast, the Mario company made a different announcement today. Nintendo will open an official Nintendo store in San Francisco this May, and it's just the second Nintendo store in the United States. The other one is in Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.
