Several people were detained by federal agents Tuesday after they showed up for hearings at immigration courthouses in San Francisco and Concord.

Hundreds marched again in San Francisco to protest the ongoing ICE raids in California, the second day of largely peaceful protests marred by incidents of violence and arrests.

SAN JOSE – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents carried out a raid Tuesday in South San Jose, arresting at least four people, according to police and media reports. The operation happened near the intersection of Blossom Hill and Snell roads, a San Jose police spokesperson told this news organization.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations across California and the fear of the activity are having an impact beyond those arrested.

Mayor Bass condemned the action, saying her office was in "close coordination" with immigrant rights organizations.
