Authorities in Mississippi say a "desperate" and "very dangerous" convicted murderer, Drew Johnson, is back in custody after escaping from prison Tuesday.
MDOC captures escaped inmate in South Mississippi
According to an alert sent out by the Greene County Emergency Management office, 33-year-old Drew Johnson escaped from the South Mississippi Correctional Institution around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Mississippi Department of Corrections announced that Johnson had been captured on Wednesday near the area of SMCI.
