A California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer was severely injured in a crash with a Tesla sedan on southbound Interstate Highway 280 on the Peninsula on Monday, authorities said.The crash happened just south of the Alpine Road exit near Portola Valley at about 1:40 p.

The collision happened during a traffic break Monday afternoon south of Page Mill Road in unincorporated San Mateo County.
