A record-setting performance derailed the Michigan Panthers’ dreams of the franchise’s first title in more than 40 years, in a 58-34 loss to D.C.

The Michigan Panthers look to capture the state’s first pro football championship in over two decades, as they face the D.C. Defenders in the United Football League Championship on Saturday night in St. Louis.

Not only did quarterback Jordan Ta’amu throw for 390 yards and four touchdowns for DC in the United Football League Championship Game on Saturday night, the Defenders ball-carriers rolled up 190 yards and another four touchdowns on the ground in a record-breaking 58-34 victory over the Michigan Panthers.
