The Utah Jazz are expected to be one of the worst teams in the NBA this season — but they certainly didn't look like it on opening night.
Bradley Beal, John Collins, Brook Lopez, and Chris Paul are now Clippers, adding to the star-studded core of Leonard and James Harden. The supporting cast already includes Ivica Zubac, Derrick Jones, Nic Batum, Kris Dunn, and Bogdan Bogdanovic, and ripped off 50 wins in the West a year ago.
Walker Kessler led the Utah Jazz to a surprising win over the LA Clippers on Wednesday night and made NBA history in the process.
The Utah Jazz aren't exactly title contenders, but at least they’ll try to win when and what they can this year. That's a step in the right direction, Tribune columnist Gordon Monson writes.

The Kings lost their season opener Wednesday 120-116 to the Phoenix Suns for a push of the 4-point spread. The Over (228) hit as the Kings blew a 20-point lead. G Zach LaVine led the team with 30 points, but shot only 2-for-10 from 3.
