Back when the 2021 Ford F-150 was still covered in camouflage, a VIN decoder surfaced on the Internet with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 as the only engine option for the Raptor.

The Ford F-150 Raptor R made a surprise appearance at a media event ahead of its reveal later this year and showed off the power and sound of its V-8 engine.

The Ford F-150 Raptor hasn't been sold with a V8 in years, but thankfully, that's changing soon.
