The attorney wife of an elite Texas law-firm partner, an event planner and a pilot who joined the company less than a year ago were among six killed at Bangor International Airport in Maine Sunday.
A preliminary incident report released by the Federal Aviation Administration Monday morning said seven passengers were killed and one crew member was seriously injured. But hours later, Bangor International Airport officials said the flight manifest showed there were six people onboard.
The remaining bodies of 10 passengers — a figure initially reported as 11 — on the fishery surveillance plane that went missing in the Maros region in South Sulawesi on Saturday, Jan. 17, have been found, Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) and Reuters reported on Friday, Jan. 23, citing Indonesia’s search-and-rescue agency.
Preliminary details indicate the business jet crashed as it was trying to take off and quickly exploded into flames, investigators said.
Indonesian rescuers have recovered a body while searching for 11 people aboard a plane that crashed on Sulawesi island.
