The NFL is looking to set a record when the Chicago Bears take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Black Friday. The league announced Wednesday that fans who want to watch the contest — which will stream on Prime Video — will not need a subscription to view the game.
In a press release, the NFL announced the game will be available in over 240 countries and territories around the world, with no Prime Video subscription required. The streaming service, which began carrying NFL games in 2022, is presenting this event globally for the first time.
Bears' QB Caleb William was forced to wear a Notre Dame hoodie after his USC alma mater lost the rivalry game last weekend.
For the first year, the NFL football game will stream on Prime Video — without a Prime subscription. Amazon has announced that the Week 13 Black Friday Bears-Eagles will stream globally at no charge, putting it on par with the Week 1 Chiefs-Chargers game from Brazil, which was streamed for free on YouTube.
Black Friday will be a busy day for Prime Video. Not only do they have the NFL broadcast, but they will also broadcast the return of the PGA Tour's Skin's Game and two NBA games. The Milwaukee Bucks and the New York Knicks will play at 7:30 pm EST. At 10:00 pm, the Dallas Mavericks visit the Los Angeles Lakers.
Kicking a sad-sack opponent to the curb is no great achievement, but it was how the Bears did it — winning a fourth game in a row for the first time since 2018 — that counts.
Bears GM Ryan Poles is looking less of a genius for selecting Ruben Hyppolite II after two straight healthy scratches, while other linebackers are hurt.
UPDATED, 2:59 p.m.: Final score is Bears 26, Saints 14. Caleb Williams seals it with a fourth-down completion to Loveland for a first down inside the Saints' 20. Outside of the minute before half and the first drive afterward, the Saints were thoroughly dominated in this one. It's Chicago's fourth straight win and drops New Orleans to 1-6.
