You see, the Austin, Texas-based automaker just launched a stripper version of its best-selling Model Y electric crossover that it is calling the Model Y Standard , and there's a whole lot of not much to talk about.
Charging speeds are identical at up to 225 kW, and Tesla claims up to 170 miles of range can be added in 15 minutes. It weighs 3,759 pounds and has 24 cubic feet of cargo space. This trim offers the same three paint choices as the more expensive options.
Tesla has lowered the lease prices for most of the electric cars it sells in the United States, but the discounts won’t last long. The deals, which are valid until the end of October, were posted without notice on the American automaker’s website, as noted by Electrek.
Dan Ives, an analyst at Wedbush, said he was disappointed that the EVs were only about $5,000 cheaper than the next trims of the models.
Tesla’s usual lack of clarity is being weaponized to sell cars.
