Thousands of outages reported as strong winds knock down power lines across WAVE Country
Thousands of power outages have been reported across WAVE Country as Sunday’s winds continue to knock down power lines.
Around 4,000 Duke Energy customers in Shelby County are without power, with the cause of the outage still unknown and an estimated restoration time of 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Duke Energy is investigating an outage at a substation in Mocksville.
Duke Energy now has an estimated time for power to return in New Whiteland. Power is expected to return around 4 p.m., after being out since before 9 a.m. The outage occurred because a semi truck crashed into a ditch on Tracy Road between U.
