No arrests have been made nearly a week after a Whidbey Island explosion destroyed multiple homes and injured five people.

Fire crews responded to the alarm on the 6400 block of South 12th Street after 5:30 p.m. An explosion happened after the crews had been there for 20 minutes.

Three Whidbey Island firefighters were injured after a house exploded in the Greenbank area, damaging nearby homes.
