India, June 6 -- Just ahead of the Formula 1 2026 Monaco Grand Prix Qualifying race, Ferrari confirmed that Team Principal Fred Vasseur has been hospitalized. The 58-year-old Frenchman was taken ill ahead of the sport's most critical qualifying session of the year and will remain under observation at a local medical facility during the home race of Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc.
Ferrari were the pre-qualifying favourites for pole but Mercedes and Red Bull in particular were lurking threats.
