The Gophers men’s basketball team unraveled in the second half against Rutgers on Wednesday. Minnesota committed six turnovers across six minutes as the Scarlet Knights went on an 11-0 run to win 72-67 in a second-round Big Ten tournament game at United Center in Chicago.

The Gophers men's basketball team closed out the regular season with a 67-66 win over Northwestern and is the No. 11 seed for this week's Big Ten Tournament.

Minnesota will make the field, but there will still be plenty of drama on Selection Sunday.

When we play our best basketball, we’re loose and we’re having fun as a group,” graduate post Sophie Hart said. “Knowing that, I don’t think we can be tense.”

The Gophers were in the middle of the Big Ten pack, averaging 10.6 turnovers per game this season, but had 15 against Rutgers. That included 10 in the second half, six coming during a decisive six-minute stretch when the Scarlet Knights took the lead for good.
