Jetix came about when Disney bought up Fox Family Worldwide, an acquisition that landed them The Family Channel as well as the libraries of Fox Kids and Saban Entertainment.

Jetix (formerly Fox Kids) is planning to launch a new kids channel in the UK. GXT, aimed at 12 to 17-year-old boys, will go live in Italy on May 1st.
