Needless to say, but I suppose I’ll say it anyway, this season hasn’t gone as hoped for either of the Big 12 Kansas football teams. Kansas State can’t get out of its own way and has a couple of mind-boggling losses on its resume.
K-State should be able to find plenty of success running the ball with Avery Johnson and Joe Jackson against a porous KU run defense. The Wildcats should also have a healthy receiving corps with Jayce Brown, Jerand Bradley and Jeron Tibbs all serving as viable options in the passing game.
For the first time since 2009, Kansas enters the rivalry matchup with K-State as the favorite. The Jayhawks look to end a 16-game losing streak in the series and capture their first win since 2008. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. Saturday at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.
