To date, four Middle Tennessee school districts and one private school have announced closures ranging from one day to the rest of the week due to widespread illness. Dickson County Schools notified parents of district-wide school closures in a phone message Thursday.

An increase in absences and checkouts has schools in Lincoln County, Tennessee, closing. Schools will be closed Thursday and Friday because of sickness which school officials say resulted in staffing challenges.
