Savannah Guthrie has shared an update after undergoing vocal cord surgery. The 'Today' co-anchor announced on Dec. 19 that she had nodules and a polyp that required removal and an extended absence from the morning show.
Guthrie, 54, revealed in December that she was taking a break from the morning show in order to undergo surgery.
Savannah Guthrie appeared on the New Year’s Day episode of NBC’s Today despite announcing her break from the show. Guthrie previously revealed she would be undergoing surgery for vocal nodules and a polyp in early 2026. NBC’s Today kicked off 2026 with all of its main hosts, including Savannah Guthrie.
