Iowa football in the NFL: Week 6 recap
It was another week of huge performances for some former Iowa football stars in the NFL. Injuries have cut into seasons for a few former Hawkeyes, like George Kittle, but the ones who have been healthy have been great. And those players made some big-time plays throughout the week six slate of NFL action this past weekend.
The New Orleans Saints rallied from a 20-point deficit but came up short in a 26-14 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday at Soldier Field in Chicago. The Bears (4-2) won their fourth consecutive game while ending an eight-game losing streak to the Saints. The loss dropped the Saints to 1-6.
Mayfield led Tampa Bay down the field for his fourth game-winning drive of the season, taking down fellow NFC playoff contender Seattle Seahawks to improve to 4-1. On the season, Mayfield has thrown for 1,283 yards while completing 65.1 percent of his passes with 10 touchdowns and just one interception.

Cowboys vs. Commanders recap: Dallas dominates division rival 44-22
As awesome of a moment as this was for the Cowboys it was one that involved stepping back from rivalry as Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels appeared to be injured and was clearly in pain. He needed assistance getting off of the field and went to the blue medical tent.
