Texans star CJ Stroud remains in concussion protocol after leaving the game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

The Texans struggled on offense without C.J. Stroud, but defensive players stepped up in the locker room and accepted the blame for not stopping Bo Nix when they had to get a stop.

The Texans' offensive game plan certainly took a hit the second that star quarterback C.J. Stroud was ruled out with a concussion, effectively elevating backup Davis Mills to take those snaps at the very end of the game, where he couldn't quite get the momentum– both on the final drive, and in the fourth quarter as a whole.

On offense, Houston's two incompletions and going out of bounds didn't take much time off clock. On defense, containment broke on key run.

The Denver Broncos went on the road to take on the Houston Texans and walked out with their sixth straight win. It was a tough, low-scoring, defensive battle, but the Broncos made just enough plays to win 18-15.
