A 50-year-old man has been charged with murder after he was found inside the Wilmington home of a woman who was assaulted, before she later died from her injuries, Wilmington police said. Wilmington police are investigating the death of the 68-year-old woman who was assaulted on Dec. 24 just after 6 p.m. in the 200 block of N. Lincoln St.

Delaware State Police confirmed the active shooter at a DMV office on Hessler Boulevard in Wilmington-New Castle is now in custody.

Employee allowed the suspect to leave the store with a bag full of goods, but officers caught up to him later.
