After a brief theatrical run, KPop Demon Hunters won the domestic box office this past week. Will Netflix allow more of its movies to play in theaters?

Netflix has added a new version of its smash hit movie KPop Demon Hunters to its streaming service. Released on the streamer on 20 June, KPop Demon Hunters became a global sensation and it currently ranks second among Netflix’s most popular English-language films behind Red Notice.

This was, admittedly, a quiet weekend, without major new releases. Besides “KPop Demon Hunters,” the top-grossing movie was “Weapons,” which made an estimated $15.4 million in its third weekend in theaters, for a $115 million domestic total.
