Liverpool have devised a new £165million plan to sign Alexander Isak this summer. The Reds confirmed their interest in the Newcastle striker earlier this month, expressing a willingness to open talks over a deal for around £120m. Newcastle promptly told them that Isak is not for sale.

Eddie Howe admitted on Tuesday that Isak’s future is not in his “full control” and fresh reports claim Liverpool are ready to open formal talks with Newcastle about a deal.

Liverpool is making serious moves this summer. While Alexander Isak has agreed to a five-year deal with the Reds, Hugo Ekitike has already completed his transfer to Anfield in a blockbuster move worth €95 million including bonuses. The former PSG striker joins from Eintracht Frankfurt.
