Brazilian Agriculture Minister Carlos Favaro on Friday welcomed the opportunity to debate vaccination of poultry against bird flu following the country's first confirmed outbreak on a commercial chicken breeding farm last month.

Brazil's poultry exports fell in both value and volume in May from a year earlier, government data showed on Thursday, as trade restrictions following a bird flu case weighed on the sector.

The Brazilian government confirmed a case of bird flu at a zoo in its capital after two birds were found dead there last week.
