Michigan State men's ice hockey defeated top-ranked Boston, the Detroit Red Wings won in overtime against the Tampa Bay Lightning, and Michigan dominated Robert Morris with a 10-2 win.

The third-place team in the Eastern Conference, the Detroit Red Wings (3-1), host the 13th-ranked Tampa Bay Lightning (1-2-1) at Little Caesars Arena on Friday at 7 p.m. ET. Tampa Bay lost 3-2 in overtime on the road its last time out on Oct. 14 against the Washington Capitals.

The Tampa Bay Lightning dropped a tough 2-1 decision to the Detroit Red Wings on Friday night at the Little Caesars Arena. Dylan Larkin ended the game on a breakaway goal in overtime to lift the Wings.

Redmond spent nine seasons in the NHL (1967-68 to 1975-76), primarily with the Red Wings. Redmond, who also played for the Montreal Canadiens, tallied 233 goals and 428 points in 538 games, posting a career-high 93 points in the 1972-73 season.
