Pittsburg police on Thursday announced they have arrested two women allegedly involved in an incident captured on video where one of the women kicked a small dog.

Two women involved in an incident where one of the women kicked a small dog in Pittsburg were arrested, police said. Andrea Nakano reports.

Luna, a 7-month-old Bernese Mountain Dog, was brought to the Corona Animal Emergency Center with "a firm, distended abdomen."

A veterinarian at the Corona Animal Emergency Center found 44 items in the stomach of a 7-month-old Bernese Mountain Dog that required surgery on Monday evening. Amanda Starrantino reports.

Officers confirmed the dog had now been put down. A man and a woman, both in their 20s, were arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury resulting in death.
