And like fellow Tennessean defensive back, Myles Pollard, who hit the transfer portal this offseason, Jones is headed back to the Volunteer State to play for Memphis.

The college football transfer portal is still churning quickly despite the calendar turning to 2025. One big player available is quarterback Alex Orji, who recently played at Michigan and then decided to enter the transfer portal after the season.

Former Germantown cornerback Kody Jones has committed to Memphis football after spending three years at Michigan.

Lawrence Hattar was not a big name in the transfer portal, whatsoever. The Livonia, Mich. native has played for Division II Ferris State since 2022, but at 6-foot-5, 335 pounds, he’s a big body at a position of need along the interior offensive line.

Michigan State is adding another experienced linebacker from the portal. Former BYU redshirt sophomore linebacker Aisea Moa announced his transfer commitment to the Spartans via social media on Monday.

Tight end Mason Mini announced his commitment to transfer to the Spartans via social media. The 6-foot-5, 240-pound product of California played for Idaho in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision the past two seasons. He has three years of eligibility remaining.

Michigan football is adding some help along the offensive line, and he comes from the Division II national champions. Lawrence Hattar, a 6-foot-5, 335-pound offensive lineman at Ferris State, committed to the Wolverines in a social media post on Sunday.
