It was a record-breaking weekend for the Portland Thorns, and the Rose City is feeling good. The 4–2 win for the Thorns over fierce rivals Seattle Reign featured the most goals ever in a Cascadia Rivalry match,

Reilyn Turner’s goal put Portland in front in the first half and the Thorns went on to defeat the rival Seattle Reign 4-2 on Sunday in the National Women’s Soccer League.

Seattle came out of the league-wide pause on a high, beating Angel City, 2-0, at home last Friday. It extends a solid stretch of play for the Pacific Northwest rivals, as the Reign have scored points in four consecutive matches, picking up three wins over that span.
