PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. (CBS12) — The first people to reach the wreckage of a fiery plane crash in Broward County over the weekend weren’t firefighters or medics. They were neighbors — armed with a garden hose, a fire extinguisher, and one man’s axe.

Neighbors leaped into action to help four people who were aboard a small plane that crashed in a Florida neighborhood.
