Photoshop is officially becoming a team project. Adobe has announced the creation of live co-editing on Photoshop, allowing multiple individuals to simultaneously work on the same file from different computers.

The live co-editing feature has been years in the works and highly requested by Photoshop users, Adobe confirmed to CNET.

Collaborative editing has been a feature in Photoshop for a few years, but you can’t work on a file at the same time as other people. You can invite others to edit an image and everyone’s changes will be synced, but you have to wait your turn if someone else is in the file you want to edit.

Adobe has brought collaboration to Photoshop as part of its Live Co-Editing, allowing a team of designers to jointly work together on a Photoshop project.

On Tuesday, Adobe brought Live Co-Editing to Photoshop, which allows multiple creators to access and edit Photoshop documents from different computers simultaneously. In addition to working together, users can gather feedback from clients, teachers, or coworkers on the file through collaborative comments.

Available for beta testing on both the desktop (beta) and web apps, this feature is designed to make collaboration smoother, faster, and more intuitive.
