Stephen Colbert devoted one of his final episodes on CBS to an interview with Barack Obama, touring his soon-to-open Presidential Center in Chicago.
Obama spoke with Colbert at the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago. It’s the former president’s first interview on the 19.3-acre campus set to open next month. The campus will include a museum, library and outdoor areas such as the Women’s Garden. Colbert’s relationship with the former president goes back to his days on Comedy Central.
In an interview on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," former President Barack Obama had some pointed words about the power of the executive branch.
The former president also discussed the state of the Democratic party and the existence of aliens on The Late Show
The sit-down itself was widely seen as a dig against Donald Trump . The nature of the conversation, meanwhile, was noticeably complimentary.
