Seven San Antonio Police officers were shot and the suspect is dead during a shooting late Wednesday night at a Far North Side apartment complex.

SAN ANTONIO – Officials are investigating the cause of a house fire on the Southeast Side of San Antonio. The fire happened around 11:40 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Hartford Avenue. Upon arrival, officials found fire on the back side of the home that was making its way toward the attic, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.

The suspect, now identified as 46-year-old Brandon Scott Poulos, barricaded himself in an apartment for several hours, and he later was found dead by SWAT officers. The incident began at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Sonterra Heights apartment complex in the 18700 block of Stone Oak Parkway on the city's far north side.
