Photos have emerged from the landing site that show the plane's body in pieces, with the tail section separated from the fuselage.
This morning, a Boeing 747-400F cargo aircraft skidded off the runway and into the adjacent sea while landing at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG). The widebody quadjet had flown in from Dubai Al Maktoum Airport (DWC), and was operated by Turkish carrier Air ATC on behalf of Emirates.
