Purdue quarterback Ryan Browne is doubtful to play against Rutgers this weekend. Browne left a 19-0 loss at Northwestern on Saturday when he appeared to injure his left shoulder on the first play of the second half.

Purdue football traveled up to Northwestern this past Saturday for another conference matchup and its first shot at a conference win. Though the Boilermakers never showed any will to win the game, stalling on offense and putting nothing on the scoreboard.

Saturday at Minnesota was a winnable game controlled by Purdue. But, in the end, the Boilermakers felt they let one get away.

Purdue is playing its fair share of night games this season, with the Big Ten adding another late kickoff to the Boilermakers' 2025 schedule.

The spread for the upcoming game between Rutgers Football and Purdue Boilermakers has been released ahead of the October 25th matchup and for the first time since the Norfolk State game the Scarlet Knights are favorites according to the sports books.

The Boilermakers started 2-0 under Barry Odom, doubling last season's win total. But Purdue hasn't yet produced competitiveness in the Big Ten.
